Testing of new anti-air FPV systems by the BARS-Sarmat forward unit

In addition to the first public appearance of Sting/P1-SUN-type FPV drones, the video also showcases anti-air FPV drones suspended beneath Yak-52 (tail number 246) and An-2 light aircraft.

The Yak-52, when fully loaded, carries six drones: four high-speed Sting-type FPVs and two quadcopter-type FPVs.

The video also shows the interception of a "Maya" decoy UAV by an anti-air FPV drone launched from an An-2 aircraft.

The Russian “Silok-01F” EW system dubbed as the "curtain" to jam Ukrainian FPV operators video receivers.

It has three 100W suppression modules, two 700-2700MHz and one 2500-6000MHz.

The main antennas are log-periodic to provide operation in a wide range.

Russian sources report that some Ukrainian “Heavy Shot” heavy bomber drones have been equipped with video jammers.

When the analog video stream from an approaching Russian FPV interceptor is detected, the jammer transmits a stronger emission on the same frequency.

Radio line of sight is required between a video jammer and the distant receiver, which is easier to accomplish from a UAV than from a ground-based system such as the Russian “Curtain.”

However, the proliferation of non-standard video frequencies will limit its effectiveness.
