🇷🇺In Russia, a drone protection system with spikes has been patented for the Courier robotic system.
The removable device is designed to be mounted on the upper part of the robotic system and attached with bolted connections to designated mounting points. It consists of a welded frame made of square-section tubes.
Holes are drilled into the tubes at specific intervals, into which bundles of diverging spikes are installed using bolt connections.
When an FPV drone interacts with the bundles of diverging spikes, the munition detonates.
The destructive effects of the explosion are then concentrated on the spike bundle and the frame of the additional armor at a significant distance from the protected robotic system itself.
Thus, by ensuring the detonation point occurs away from the surface of the protected object, the effectiveness of protecting the robotic system is increased.
