On February 26, 1955, the SU-100P self-propelled gun was officially adopted into service.
Following military trials, the self-propelled artillery system was accepted into service with the Soviet Army by a decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on February 26, 1955, under the designation SU-100P.
A batch of 14 SU-100P vehicles was produced at the Y.M. Sverdlov Transport Engineering Plant (UZTM).
Based on the SU-100P self-propelled artillery system and its components, several armored vehicles were later developed, including:
• Armored vehicles for the 2K11 “Krug” surface-to-air missile system.
• Experimental open self-propelled guns SU-152P and SU-152G.
• The fully armored self-propelled gun SU-152 “Object 120”.
• The “Yenisei” self-propelled anti-aircraft gun (Object 119).
• The “Object 112” armored personnel carrier.
• The “Object 117” self-propelled searchlight system.
