🗓The West German Sonderwagen M8:
• During tensions with East German and fear of border issues helped institute the Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS), which was founded on the 16th March 1951. With this, 60 M8 Greyhounds were given to the BGS however with all armament removed.
• While most SW M8s were later given a single 7.92mm MG42 in place of the 37mm, some versions were given a .50cal M2 Browning and rarer still a 20mm Hispano.
• This modified M8 Greyhound armed with 1x 20mm Hispano Suiza HSS.804 L/70 cannon and 1x 7.92mm MG42.
• Overall weight is roughly 7.89t with a Hercules JXD 6 cylinder 4-cycle inline gasoline engine with 110hp.
