🇺🇸 / 🇻🇪 The 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment) is an elite U.S. Army special operations aviation unit that provides highly specialized helicopter support—ranging from attack to reconnaissance, for special operations forces. Known as the “Night Stalkers,” the regiment is renowned for its expertise in night operations, low-level and aggressive flying, and precision insertion and extraction missions, capabilities that align with the type of activity being observed. The unit has participated in some of the most high-profile U.S. special operations, including Operation Neptune Spear in Pakistan, which resulted in the killing of Osama bin Laden.
