🇵🇰Hatf-I is Pakistan's first production short-range, land-based ballistic missile.

Its design began in 1987 at the Space Research and Development Commission (SUPARCO) and the Dr. A.Q. Khan Research Laboratories, incorporating French and Chinese technology in response to the Indian missile program. The missile was first unveiled in 1989 and was accepted into service in 1992.
A simple, single-stage, unguided rocket with a solid-fuel motor. It carries a conventional 500-kg warhead, a separate warhead, or a chemical warhead. Its range is only 70 km. Transportation to the launch site and the launch itself are carried on a trailer with a lifting rail. The launcher is designed for use on poor roads.

Around 1995, a modernized Hatf-IA with a range increased to 100 km was developed, and in 2000, the Hatf-IB with an ISN was created. It is claimed that all existing missiles were upgraded to this version in 2004.

The Hatf-IB is still in service with the Pakistan Army.
