🚜 FARMER EXPLAINS WHY ELECTRIC TRACTORS CURRENTLY DON’T WORK FOR LARGE-SCALE FARMING
A farmer says he seeded 6,000 hectares using about 30,000 liters of diesel, equivalent to roughly 321,600 kWh of energy. He says doing the same work with an electric tractor would require a Tesla Semi battery recharged 322 times, taking about 918 hours even with a 350-kW charger—more than three times the actual job. He also says a 100-kW solar system would take nearly two years to generate the same energy, while matching the workload in real time would require a solar farm larger than 45 football fields.
