Indiana farmer Kip Tom says Chinese nationals have been caught entering U.S. seed fields at night, digging up valuable parent seed lines and sending them back to China. In testimony to the Senate, Tom said some stolen seeds were taken to a Chicago warehouse before being shipped overseas, calling the theft of American agricultural genetics a potential national-security threat.
