Why does TON need a new language and what is Tolk?

😐 It all started with FunC, which is where the key parts of the network are written. But it was considered «powerful but complex,» and this complexity scared off some of the developers. The alternative — Tact — was simpler, but projects built on it faced higher blockchain fees.

🥳 Tolk is the next-generation language: modern, user-friendly, and with low fees. Less routine work, clearer error messages, flexible typing — and plans for auto-serialization, but without Tact’s drawbacks.
