Binance to Rebrand Funding Account to 'Stocks Account'

Binance will begin a phased migration of cryptocurrency assets from user Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts starting September 29, 2026, a process expected to run through January 2027, after which the Funding Account will be officially rebranded as the "Stocks Account" dedicated exclusively to the clearing and settlement of equities and stock options.

Under this arrangement, on-chain deposits into Funding Accounts will be disabled effective September 29, and the renamed Stocks Account will support six settlement assets (USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB) for stock trading, while deposits and withdrawals for all other crypto assets will route exclusively through Spot Accounts; users can proactively transfer their holdings beforehand via a new "One-Click Migration" feature, with any remaining balances automatically migrated in batches by the system starting in January 2027 without affecting total asset values or security. — link
