Polymarket weighs a token or IPO as its next step, Bloomberg reports. CEO Shayne Coplan teased an announcement ahead of TOKEN2049, but neither path is confirmed.
A token could reward traders and liquidity providers in ways shares cannot, while an IPO fits Polymarket's push into regulated US markets through QCEX and Polymarket US. Coplan first hinted at $POLY in October 2025. Polymarket says it never announced an airdrop or a token launch.
Its valuation rose from about $9B after ICE's 2025 investment to reported talks above $20B, with annualized revenue said to be well above $1B.
