Prices of 137 critical anti-cancer drugs in India are set to drop by up to 70% starting November 9, 2026.

This major patient-centric intervention is expected to save cancer patients a collective ₹2,500 crore annually.

The decision follows an intervention by the Supreme Court of India, which flagged extreme price differences where the retail price of some medicines was marked up by as much as 10 times the actual price to the retailer.

The order covers all formulations, including branded, generic, domestic, imported, and even patented medicines.
