🇮🇹 Italy has expanded its investigation into Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz and 12 senior military, police, and prison officials over the alleged mistreatment of Gaza-bound flotilla activists detained by Israeli authorities.

The investigation follows complaints from 50 Italian citizens detained during two Global Sumud Flotilla missions in 2025 and 2026.

Allegations include torture, kidnapping, physical assaults, death threats, and degrading treatment.

The probe also includes Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and military chief Eyal Zamir.
