Honeywell Aerospace will deliver a total of eight TPE331-12B engines to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) by the end of 2026.
This number includes the four engines that have already been shipped, meaning four additional units are scheduled to arrive by the end of the year.
The original July 2022 deal, valued at over $100 million, covers a total of 88 engines and kits to power the HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Under the Agreement, Honeywell is contracted to directly supply the first 16 engines, after which a transfer of technology will enable HAL to locally assemble the remaining 72 units.
