According to Channel 12 and international reports, the flydubai FZ1073 crew included a Russian pilot and a Ukrainian co-pilot.
Their cockpit altercation triggered the emergency transponder signal.
Channel 14 reports the preliminary suspicion in the Flydubai incident is that one pilot attempted suicide, causing a steep dive from 30,000 to 15,000 feet at Mach 1.
The second pilot reportedly fought him and regained control.
