🇺🇸 Three US naval aircraft experienced in-flight engine fires in July and August, all classified as Class A mishaps with damage exceeding $2.5M.

An F/A-18F, a CH-53E, and an F/A-18E were involved in separate incidents over Nevada, California, and Virginia, respectively.

All crew members landed safely without injuries, and the Navy is currently investigating the unrelated failures.

These events follow a pattern of recent mechanical issues, including Super Hornet blazes in 2020-2021 and the 2022 grounding of the Army's CH-47 Chinook fleet.
