German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul says NATO will respond to attacks on its territory including attacks originating from Russia.

“We will defend every inch of NATO territory… also against Russia,” Wadephul said.

Berlin says Germany is prepared to respond alongside NATO allies if necessary.
