An Indian Army ambulance carrying the body of Subedar Major Satyawan Singh collided with a stationary truck on the Purvanchal Expressway on Sunday, killing four people, including his son, brother, nephew and the ambulance driver.

The incident occurred around 8:00 AM near the 79.6-km mark in the Haliyapur area, close to the Ayodhya–Sultanpur border, while the body was being transported from Chandigarh to his native village in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh.
