High-level consultations are underway regarding constitutional options for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the possibility of Governor’s Rule or an emergency. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Amir Muqam for consultations on the evolving situation.

A key meeting is also expected at the President House later today, where the Prime Minister is expected to brief the President on KP’s political situation, governance concerns, and the provincial government’s reported detachment from the ongoing fight against terrorism.
