Yemeni Sunni Sheikh Abdullah al-Ahdal was arrested in Saudi Arabia in November 2023 after arriving to perform Umrah.
His arrest followed a sermon titled “The Muslim Rulers Abandonment,” in which he criticized Arab regimes for their weak response to the war on Gaza.
He is still imprisoned in a Saudi prison
