SYRIA WEIGHS MILITARY SUPPORT FOR SAUDI ARABIA AGAINST HOUTHIS

Syria is considering providing military assistance to Saudi Arabia as the kingdom battles Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, according to U.S. and Syrian officials.

Options reportedly include defensive support against missile and drone attacks or deploying Syrian forces alongside Saudi-backed Yemeni troops.

A U.S. official says Riyadh has requested Syrian forces, but Damascus says its primary focus remains domestic recovery and any cooperation would proceed through official channels.
