DRONE ATTACK SHUTS MAJOR RUSSIAN OIL REFINERY
Russia’s Volgograd refinery completely halted crude processing on October 2 after equipment was damaged in a drone attack, industry sources told Reuters.
The Lukoil-owned facility can process around 280,000 barrels per day, representing roughly 5% of Russia’s total refining capacity.
The shutdown threatens to intensify Russia’s existing fuel crunch, as repeated attacks increasingly disrupt the country’s refining infrastructure.
