FTC LAUNCHES INDUSTRY-WIDE AI PROBE AFTER HUGGING FACE INCIDENT

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission is conducting an industry-wide AI investigation following the Hugging Face incident, according to a source.

The FTC reportedly plans to issue civil investigative demands to OpenAI, Anthropic and AI research group METR, escalating regulatory scrutiny of AI safety and security practices.
