We just dropped a breakdown of VoidChain's Proof-of-Trust consensus on X, and it goes deeper than the usual "here's our consensus mechanism" post.
The core argument: PoW and PoS were built for specific threat models that no longer reflect how blockchain networks actually operate today. Neither was designed for AI agents as major network participants. Neither was designed for sub-second finality in real-world applications. Neither had behavioral scoring as a security primitive.
PoT combines three things, AI-audited validator behavior, time-based staking, and probabilistic finality, and the trust score is what ties all three together. It's not just a different consensus model. It's a different definition of what "trustworthy validator" even means.
The piece also doesn't shy away from the honest part: PoT has a dependency PoW and PoS don't. More components, more complexity. Whether that tradeoff is worth it is worth thinking through.
