Revolut Allegedly Leaks User Data, Likely Targeting High-Net-Worth Individuals
On-chain investigator ZachXBT issued an alert on his channel stating that fintech giant Revolut appears to have mistaken a fraudulent government information request for a legitimate one, consequently disclosing user data to unauthorized parties.
The compromised data reportedly includes full names, contact information, copies of identity documents, verification selfies, IBAN numbers, bank account statements, withdrawal records, and complete transaction histories, including Bitcoin transfers.
ZachXBT noted that while the overall number of affected accounts appears limited at this stage, the attack may have specifically targeted high-net-worth individuals, with several impacted users having already received official notification emails from Revolut.
