"Communism was not a specifically Russian phenomenon. It was an international, historically conditioned development phenomenon, directly descended from the Reformation and the French Revolution—a decay phenomenon throughout our cultural sphere, and at the same time a false means against the diseases of the modern world: a world conspiracy led by Jews, exploiting the people's needs and their desire and demand for justice, progress, and spiritual as well as political, social, and economic renewal.

Communism without a mask was a clear and deadly enemy of all our Germanic life values, those which also carry the entire European culture and all of Europe's national communities. The victory of communism would mean the death of our culture and civilization. Particularly for Scandinavia and thus for Norway, this development also meant that the old danger from the East reappeared in a new and far worse form.

Formulating the theoretical and principal political rules against this dangerous development was not easy when one begins to understand the true nature and the real roots of the danger.

Teach people to understand the historical fact that the Nordic peoples and the Germanic elements in other peoples have created Europe, and through it also the societies that Europe has established across the seas, and you have laid most of the groundwork for everything that must follow and for winning over this threat.

The development involved the unifying demand that the Germanic peoples, and at least Europe, must unite against the threat that was emerging from the East. In contrast to the previous view, which saw Bolshevism merely as a war intervention, I believed that a real world revolution was underway, in more than one sense of the word. The Germanic peoples of Europe should, in my opinion, confront the upcoming catastrophe and, in some way, support a Germanic reorganization in Russia — which was originally a North Germanic state formation — and restore Russia to European civilization."
