We’re Motley — a 4-person pre-seed AI B2B startup backed by Seedcamp, Tiny VC, Kima, RTP Global.

We're building an intelligent business reporting platform that helps companies turn scattered data (from dashboards, Slack, Notion etc.) into meaningful human-friendly insights and stories. Our initial focus is on Customer Success teams, who currently spend hours each month manually creating hundreds of reports.

We’re looking for a great backend engineer, full-time and remote (European timezones) to join our core team. You will work directly with our founders (ex Wise, Yandex), own core technical decisions and work with systems with deep AI integrations.

What you’ll own

- Ship Python/FastAPI microservices on GCP (Cloud Run, Docker, Managed Postgres)
- Harden infra for speed, security, and fault-tolerance
- Shape architecture and dev practices — tests, CI, observability.

Must-haves

- You’ve shipped real web APIs in Python and owned them in prod.
- Comfortable with Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, scaling, LB, and security basics.
- Tests, modern coding practices, and lots of common sense.
- Work mostly in/near European time zones; self-directed and decision-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

- Experience with AI apps, LLMs/agents, graph tech (or eagerness to learn)
