The world welcomed a new day.

روزِ نو
با شکوهِ جمشید، جهان گویی از نو زاده شد.

“The world assembled at the foot of his throne,
In awe of the fortune that was his alone.

Thus three hundred years rolled gently by,
And none had looked on death in all that time.

They scattered jewels over Jamshid’s crown,
And named that radiant day Nowruz.”

جهان انجمن شد برِ تخت او
شگفتی فرومانده از بخت او
چنین سال سیصد همی‌ رفت کار
ندیدند مرگ اندر این روزگار
به جمشید بر گوهر افشاندند
مر آن روز را روز نو خواندند
