Twitter Space Recap: BTCFi × TON - Unlocking Innovations and Opportunities

Yesterday’s Twitter Space hosted by @UTONIC_uTON brought together some incredible minds in the TON and BTCFi ecosystems:
🎙 @SwiftAdviser (BTCFi Lead @ TON Foundation)
🎙 @drawesomedoge (TONX Co-Founder)
🎙 Sudeikin (Co-Founder and CGO of EVAA)

The discussion focused on the transformative potential of TON BTCFi, how it’s unlocking Bitcoin’s liquidity, and its future within TON's ecosystem.
@SwiftAdviser highlighted the groundbreaking nature of tgBTC, explaining how it addresses Bitcoin’s long-standing limitations—such as slow transaction speeds and high fees. By enabling faster, more accessible, and trustless transfers, tgBTC unlocks Bitcoin’s vast liquidity for DeFi, opening up use cases like lending, borrowing, and seamless interaction with Telegram’s massive user base.
@drawesomedoge provided a historical perspective, reflecting on his journey as a Bitcoin developer since 2013. While Bitcoin has traditionally been seen as "digital gold," he emphasized that integrating it with TON elevates its utility. With low fees, fast finality, and interoperability, TON transforms Bitcoin into a practical asset for everyday use. He envisioned a future where Bitcoin is as common in wallets as cash, seamlessly accessible through Telegram.
Sudeikin brought a practical lens to the discussion, describing how EVAA Protocol is leveraging tgBTC to create more yield opportunities for users. As TON’s leading lending platform, EVAA focuses on making Bitcoin easy to use for both retail and institutional users, helping to drive adoption and expand the ecosystem.
Another topic was the synergy between TON’s ecosystem and Bitcoin’s liquidity. @SwiftAdviser painted an exciting vision for tgBTC, from onboarding Telegram users to creating consumer-friendly DeFi products. He also hinted at significant post-launch incentives for developers and users, positioning tgBTC as the cornerstone of TON’s liquidity layer.
Both @drawesomedoge and Sudeikin emphasized TON’s unique advantage in its integration with Telegram, granting unparalleled access to billions of users. They outlined how tgBTC could transform Telegram into a financial powerhouse, allowing users to lend, trade, and earn Bitcoin with just a few clicks within the app.

Looking ahead to 2025, the speakers shared an optimistic outlook:
@SwiftAdviser articulated his vision for TON’s ecosystem to achieve significantly higher TVL, driven by the widespread adoption and integration of tgBTC.
Sudeikin shared EVAA's plans to integrate more assets into TON, bridge the gap with other blockchains, and make Bitcoin central to TON’s DeFi ecosystem.
@drawesomedoge closed with a vision of Bitcoin becoming truly accessible, enabling financial inclusion on a global scale.

This recap captures the excitement, vision, and innovation surrounding BTCFi and TON. Stay tuned as this ecosystem evolves, bringing Bitcoin into a new era of utility and accessibility!
