An award-winning Birmingham repairman was sacked by the RAC after he was filmed embracing Raise the Colours founder Ryan Bridge.
Dad-of-three Abdul Bashir, from Saltley, was fired for gross misconduct after the footage, which showed him in uniform and in front of an RAC van, was posted on social media.
The 52-year-old, once said to have honoured by the RAC for a rescue, was told to return his van, phone and laptop as he was dismissed from his job of six years with immediate effect last Thursday, August 20.
