A hardware wallet doesn’t actually “hold” your crypto. So what does it hold?
Your keys. Here’s the difference ↓
Your crypto assets exist on their respective blockchains.
The wallet gives you the cryptographic keys needed to control the addresses associated with those assets.
That’s why losing a hardware wallet doesn’t automatically mean losing the assets themselves.
What matters is whether you still have a way to recover the keys.
With United Network, the private key is protected on the card’s secure element.
Your seed phrase provides the recovery path if the card is lost or damaged.
So think of it this way:
Assets → on-chain.
Private key → on your card.
Recovery → your seed phrase.
Three different things. Three different roles.
