🌐 First in Europe. Ukraine ranked third globally among the most frequent targets of cyberattacks.

According to Microsoft’s Digital Defense Report 2026, Ukraine accounted for 4.8% of all victims worldwide, trailing only the US and Israel.

Microsoft noted that Ukraine remains a primary target for Russian hacker groups, which accounted for 14% of recorded attacks. The public sector was the most frequent target, with phishing serving as the primary method of intrusion.

The company also warned that the use of AI is accelerating cyber threats, reducing the time between vulnerability discovery and exploitation to less than 24 hours.

Ukraine’s defense forces did not conduct any operations in Bulgarian waters, where two merchant vessels were struck by drones today. It has been established that this was a combined Russian attack using sea and aerial drones, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“We are currently gathering all available information through intelligence and special services channels regarding this latest attack on civilian vessels in the Black Sea.

We extend our sympathies to everyone affected.

This latest tragedy involving civilian vessels is a continuation of Russia’s attempt to render the western part of the Black Sea completely unfit for navigation.

We have clarified all details with the Bulgarian side. Our Naval Forces have been in contact with their counterparts in Bulgaria.

I have instructed our Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, our intelligence agencies, and all our services to cooperate as fully as possible with our partners so that both they and we have greater capabilities for defense.”

❗️Armed, masked individuals threatened Latvian troops at the border with Belarus and attempted to forcibly push a group of more than 20 migrants into Latvia, according to the Latvian Armed Forces.

Latvian troops intercepted the group at the border. They reported that the armed escorts were deliberately driving the migrants toward Latvia while threatening the soldiers. The military described the incident as a particularly brazen and aggressive provocation and said the migration pressure was part of a hybrid attack on the EU and NATO’s external borders.

The group reportedly managed to enter Latvia a few hours later, damaging an electrical panel and stealing surveillance cameras in the process. The incident took place on the Latvian-Belarusian border.

The crisis has been ongoing for five years and escalated sharply in 2026. Since the beginning of the year, Latvia has thwarted nearly 10,000 attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus, with the total exceeding 47,000 between August 2021 and June 2026.

The EU and Baltic authorities believe the Lukashenko regime is deliberately using migrants to exert pressure on neighboring states.

Earlier this summer, the head of the Latvian Border Guard identified Latvia as the primary target of the Belarusian hybrid operation and warned that border violators and their handlers were becoming increasingly aggressive.

Russians and Serbs clashed during a friendly match.

The altercation began in the 68th minute following a dispute between Russian player Mikhail Umnyakov and Serbian player Matija Mitrović, which quickly escalated into a scuffle involving players from both teams.

The referee sent off both players involved in the incident. Umnyakov received a straight red card, while Mitrović was shown a second yellow.

Despite the on-field drama, the match was played to completion.

Serbia won 2–1, avenging its defeat in the previous friendly.

🇧🇬 Bulgaria will not invoke NATO Articles 4 or 5 over the attack on civilian vessels in the Black Sea, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said.

Radev said Bulgaria sees no grounds for doing so. He clarified that the incident occurred within Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone, approximately 130 kilometers from the coast, but that these waters have neutral status.

The prime minister described the attack as “extremely alarming” and said it was carried out by sea and air drones of undetermined origin. The matter has already been raised at the international level.

Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted no operations in this area of the sea, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. He added that the latest tragedy involving civilian vessels was part of Russia’s attempt to render the western Black Sea completely unfit for navigation.

“All data has been verified with the Bulgarian side: our Navy contacted their counterparts in Bulgaria, and it has been established that this was a combined Russian attack using sea and air drones,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that he had instructed the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), and other services to cooperate “as fully as possible” with partners to strengthen defense capabilities.

As a result of the attack, the vessel ALFA WATAN sank, a fire broke out on the ABLE, and two people were killed.

Sweden is deploying Patriot air defense systems and approximately 100 troops to Poland to protect the key logistics hub for arms supplies to Ukraine against Russian missiles and drones, Le Monde reports.

Starting December 1, the Swedish military is set to take over protection of the hub near Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, relieving the Dutch contingent currently stationed there. More than 80% of military aid to Ukraine passes through the area, with the monthly volume of cargo estimated at around 18,000 tons.

The site is currently protected by two Dutch Patriot batteries, NASAMS, anti-drone systems, and Polish air defenses. The Swedish mission could last up to seven months. Stockholm has explicitly stated that the hub requires protection against potential air and ground threats.

Sweden is reinforcing the protection of Rzeszów with more than Patriot systems. Swedish Gripen fighter jets have been patrolling over Poland since October, with one of their missions being to provide air cover for aid deliveries to Ukraine.

South Korea has supplied more than 176,000 tons of fuel to Russia, including shipments carried by sanctioned tankers, The Guardian reports, citing port documents and vessel tracking data.

The deliveries were made by seven tankers that completed 14 voyages to Vladivostok and other Far East ports. Three of the vessels are subject to UK and EU sanctions, while some reportedly concealed their actual routes.

❗️Russian drone incursions into Moldovan airspace are deliberate and not accidental, according to Ukraine’s Air Force.

“These are planned operations. While perhaps 2–3% might have been affected by electronic warfare [systems], they can organize effective signal relay coverage over the Black Sea, so these are planned actions,” Yurii Cherevashenko, Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada’s Temporary Investigative Commission.

❗️Russia has struck Zaporizhzhia again, injuring a child.

A residential building was damaged, with a projectile hitting an apartment on the seventh floor. According to the Regional Military Administration, a five-year-old girl was injured.

Two merchant vessels were attacked by drones off the coast of Bulgaria. One of the vessels sank, and its crew is missing, according to BGNES.

The Bulgarian government is convening an emergency meeting. Prime Minister Rumen Radev described the attack as “a gross violation of international law and maritime norms.”

It is currently unknown whose drones were involved.

“This is an absolutely unacceptable attack and a gross violation of international law and maritime norms. The attack severely complicates shipping in the Black Sea,” Radev said.

The strikes took place within Bulgaria’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

An EEZ is a maritime area beyond and adjacent to a country’s territorial waters. It is not part of a country’s territory in the same sense as its territorial waters, meaning the country does not exercise the same sovereign rights and jurisdiction there.

Therefore, neither of the commercial vessels was in Bulgarian territorial waters.

Russian forces attacked a warehouse in Zaporizhzhia, sparking a fire at the site, reported Mykhailo Semikin, acting Head of the Regional Military Administration.

Preliminary reports indicate that one person sustained serious injuries. Another man was evacuated, while a woman is receiving medical assistance.

A Russian jet-powered UAV struck a high-rise building in Sumy, injuring two people, including a 16-year-old teenager, the City Military Administration reported.

The teenager’s condition is not serious.

The strike sparked a fire and damaged the building, parked cars, and the windows and doors of a nearby kindergarten. Gas supply disruptions have also been reported.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces have detected the first signs of covert mobilization in Russia, with enemy personnel numbers increasing in the Dobropillia-Pokrovsk sector and other areas of the front.

“+39.7% — a sharp rise in enemy personnel losses, both fatal and non-fatal, during the first five days of October compared with the same period in September: 2,699 confirmed infantry casualties versus 1,931. That is also +76.5% compared with August 1–5, when there were 1,529 casualties.

The largest increase was recorded and effectively engaged by the ‘Birds’ of the Unmanned Systems Forces within the zone of the ‘Azov’ Troop Grouping in the Dobropillia-Pokrovsk sector: +43% compared with the same period in September, with 1,268 enemy fatal and non-fatal casualties inflicted solely by USF pilots, versus 884. That is +91% compared with August, when the figure stood at 664.

🕯 Russian forces struck a Marshall Islands-flagged vessel carrying rapeseed oil, causing a fire in the superstructure.

One person was killed and seven others were injured, according to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Russian shelling in Kramatorsk damaged two apartment buildings and a hospital, killing a woman and injuring four other people, the State Emergency Service reports.

Preliminary reports indicate that Russian forces used “Banderols” in the strike.
