While I'm preparing documentation and article you already can use the extension. You can download it from https://github.com/gonzazoid/Pomogator unpack and install unpacked or just visit this page https://gonzazoid.com/posts/2024-05-15-pomogator-installation.html (it's Russian but don't worry, content doesn't matter at this point) and click the first link. It's very experimental so please don't use it if you have sensitive data in your browser.
So I'm done with background page for mv2 extensions. It can't be fixed properly - on memory pressure it just kills background page (while ultimatum itself is not active) which leads to terminating the whole extension. So I've added simple workaround - if it's mv2 and is enabled then restart the extension instead of terminating it. Literally three lines of code. Anyway. I'm done for today, tomorrow I'm gonna clean the code and start release.
This is a milestone no less, right here. Remember how many times I was asked about default page, bookmarks, changing extension page (like icons size or whatever). And I was like - guys, give me a time, I have better solution. This is it, the solution. Now webextension developers can write any extensions manager they want, any default page, any bookmark manager instead of default ones. They can change any part of ui that implemented via web_ui. Sky the limit. Both on Android and desktops. Told ya - it's not just chromium with extensions :)
