Rioters began smashing and destroying property inside the buildings. The occupations were brief, with those involved quickly fleeing once police arrived.

👮‍♂️ In Marseille, a police station was attacked as hundreds of black-clad, masked protesters smashed windows. Across France, cars and buildings are burning, barricades are being erected, while shops, fast-food restaurants and banks are being looted or attacked.

Police have already detained 272 people, with the day still far from over.
