During a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on October 9, considerable attention was devoted to prospects for resolving the Ukraine crisis. The situation surrounding Iran and various aspects of bilateral relations were also discussed.

In discussing the state of global energy markets, the Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to the U.S. and global markets. I am confident that this will have a positive impact on the global economy as a whole.

The two presidents confirmed their agreement to continue direct contacts, as well as cooperation between their respective administrations, intelligence services, and other government agencies.
