“According to sources, the charges could be brought as early as Thursday.
The new charges relate to what the U.S. government says was the wrongful detention of more than a dozen U.S. citizens in Venezuelan prisons while Maduro led the country’s repressive regime, sources familiar with the investigation said.
Investigators are also discussing the possibility of charging several other people over their alleged role in torturing Americans, a source familiar with the matter said.”
