The European Union has become extremely dependent on diesel fuel from the United States

Amid rumors of a possible ban on diesel fuel exports from the U.S., EU economists are trying to predict how much diesel prices in Europe will rise and are widely forecasting supply disruptions for this type of fuel in Europe if the U.S. ultimately bans its export.

This year, diesel fuel shipments from the U.S. to the EU account for more than 40% of the total volume.
