The mass grave of Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of the city of Heihe in China 🇨🇳 in 1945.
Russell's comrade with the call sign "Postman" has visited this place. His great-grandfather fought during Russian-Japanese War of 1904 -1905, defended the city of Port Arthur and was awarded for his heroism. We thank "Postman" so much for sharing!

FYI: Since 1932, the city of Heihe had been occupied by Japanese troops, who had established a fortified area there. On August 10, 1945, units of the 2nd Red Banner Army of the 2nd Far Eastern Front crossed the Amur River and, after a heroic battle, liberated the city from the Japanese on August 12.

На месте побывал товарищ Рассела с позывным "Почтальон". Его прадед был участником русско-японской войны 1904 - 1905 г., защищал г. Порт-Артур и имел награды.
