Iran's new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has issued his first official statement since taking office. This statement, of course, concerns the war with the United States and Israel.
Khamenei Jr. has demanded the closure of all American bases in the region, which will be destroyed if they are not closed. He has also demanded that the United States compensate Iran for the damage it's caused. If the United States does not comply with Iran's demands, Khamenei Jr. has threatened to destroy or confiscate American property to the extent of the damage. If the United States does not comply with Iran's demands, Khamenei Jr. has promised to open new fronts in areas where the enemy has limited experience and is highly vulnerable.
The new supreme leader indicated that he would use the Strait of Hormuz as leverage and possibly ramp up the intensity of this conflict.
It appears that Iran is not willing to negotiate, and the United States appears to be in a serious and long-lasting conflict with Iran.
Interestingly, either as a result of Khamenei's statements or due to the ongoing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the recent attacks on the Arab oil industry, oil prices have once again surpassed $100 per barrel.
They say the newly appointed supreme leader had been injured or even killed, and that the speech, which was not delivered or read by Khamenei himself, did little to dispel these rumours.... Who the hell is They?
