Stanislav Retinsky emphasized:
"The example of Russell Bentley is not just the story of one man. It is proof that in 2014, Donbass was defended not only by its residents. Anti-fascists from all over the world—from the United States, Italy, Germany, and Brazil—stood behind us. Their arrival is a rebuff not only to Ukrainian Nazism but also to global imperialism, which seeks to erase the memory of justice. Russell was not just a warrior—he was a communist in spirit. He believed that man transcends nationality, that freedom is not a privilege, but a right. We, communists, are proud that he was our fellow party member. And we will do everything possible to perpetuate his memory. Future generations of Russians and Americans will certainly look up to people like Russell 'Texas' Bentley."
The courage lesson at School No. 53 was not just a tribute to a hero, but also an important reminder of perseverance, dedication, and international solidarity in the fight for truth and justice".
