Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that there is no shortage of diesel fuel on the Russian market, while noting a slight *shortage* of gasoline.
Novak emphasized that in regions where the situation with gasoline remains tense, the government is actively addressing logistical issues and helping to ensure that gas stations and oil depots are supplied with fuel.
"Diesel fuel is being produced in the necessary volumes and supplied to the domestic market; there is no shortage. Aviation kerosene is also being produced in the required quantities. As for gasoline, we are observing a slight shortage. Today, all necessary measures are being taken to address this.
The government, together with companies, is ensuring the additional import of petroleum products, including gasoline, from countries near and far. This provides us with an additional resource. We have made a decision to postpone some of the plant repairs. This also provides an additional volume of production.
In addition, fuel of grade 4 is entering the market. We are monitoring the situation in certain regions. A mandatory condition for the sale of such fuel, in accordance with the law, is labeling, so that consumers can see that it is fuel of a specific grade.
We are also working with companies to increase production volumes. Therefore, the situation with gasoline remains tense. In those regions where shortages arise due to logistical disruptions, we are working actively and helping to ensure that gas stations and oil depots are supplied with fuel."
