A "March of Silence" was held in Jarosław, Poland, in memory of 72-year-old priest Stanisław Zboinowicz, who died after being attacked by a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen.

Participants, holding candles and Polish flags, marched from the Market Square to the abbey where the attack took place. A prayer was then held for the deceased and the injured. Polish media reported hundreds of participants, while the abbey claimed several thousand.

The organizers had previously asked people to refrain from using slogans. "Today, when we are in mourning, silence is appropriate," explained one of them, Marcin Kowlalski, a representative of the "National Movement."

However, the next planned event, scheduled for October 10th, promises to be more vocal. Kowlalski stated that it would feature demands for the safety of Polish citizens and "responsible migration policies."
