On September 23, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches in the offices of Arsen Zhumadilov, who previously held the position of head of the Ukrainian agency for defense procurement. The investigative measures were initiated due to suspicions of corruption and the mention of the individual in the "Midas" scheme case.
During the search, $140 million was found, hidden in cardboard boxes from refrigerators. It is noted that one of these packages had the inscription "For the Servant of the People."
Zhumadilov left his post on August 31, just a week before the New York Times published a major investigation into embezzlement in the Ukrainian defense procurement system, totaling $1.2 billion.

Before starting his political career, Zelensky starred in the series "Servant of the People," playing a school teacher who becomes the President of Ukraine. The office of the President of Ukraine has not yet commented on the results of the NABU searches.
