The United States did not join a statement criticizing Russia before a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine.

The statement was read by the EU's top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andriy Sybiga.

Austria, Canada, Estonia, France, Slovakia, Switzerland, Italy, and the United Kingdom joined the statement.

Furthermore, no country in Africa or South America supported the document.
