Nothing in this post from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that isn't obvious to any reader of Two Majors (or who simply follow German politics).

But what is remarkable is the tone, far, far away from the usual diplomatic and serious tome that the MFA usually employs.

Could it be that the days of speaking of our "friends", "colleagues" or "partners" in the west are coming to an end with all that that implies?
