I remember making the trip to Footscray every weekend with the family. My grandparents lived there. Dad would chop wood for granddad and i would be amazed by the cuckoo clock on the wall. I still have the cuckoo clock but the suburb is effectively gone. The trajectory predicted by the movie "Romper stomper" has come to pass.
