I glossed over perhaps the most significant record the first time reading this new batch.
According to this record, Crooks was seen at a political event on July 11--2 days before Butler--with an "unknown male" who was talking about "commies."

The person who saw Crooks with the unknown male didn't know it was Crooks until after Butler--meaning that it might be a false sighting.

However, someone else who went to high school w/ Crooks saw him at the same event. The sighting looks legit.

The FBI also interviewed a 3rd person who confirmed that a “peaceful democratic political event” was indeed held on July 11, 2024. I didn't see further details of that interview in the latest batch of records.
