A couple of hours ago, WalletTg appeared in the official TON repository - a smart contract on which a wallet will operate directly inside Telegram.
What is this
This is a new type of TON wallet, written specifically for Telegram. It is not a fork of v4/v5 - it is a completely new implementation. Essentially, it is an on-chain "engine" for the wallet that Telegram users will use.
What this provides:
• all wallets are upgraded simultaneously and automatically
• users do not need to update anything
• improvements are delivered to everyone at once
Key features
Key change (rotation) - Telegram creates the wallet, and the user can take it into self-custody.
Up to 255 messages in one transaction, cheaper in terms of fees
Gasless transfers (no gas required on the balance)
Planned features mentioned in the description: 2FA and subscriptions natively in the wallet
