🪙Fragment introduces KYC

The Fragment platform now requires verification. In order to purchase anonymous numbers, usernames, and Telegram Stars, users must complete verification through Sumsub. That's same service, by the way, that is used for verification in Wallet.

The need for KYC may be due to the platform's expansion into the US or the upcoming conversion of limited-edition gifts into NFTs and the emergence of a secondary market on Fragment.

Telegram, before starting the active sale of gifts globally, must comply with anti-money laundering measures.

Interestingly, the sale of anonymous numbers is still available without the need for KYC verification.
