🔼Price hike explained: TON partners up with Robinhood
Robinhood Crypto announced on Twitter that TON will be available for trading for its clients in some European jurisdictions.
The company Robinhood, founded in 2013 by Stanford University graduates Vladimir Tenev (native of Bulgaria) and Baiju Bhatt, offers a commission-free trading service for stocks and cryptocurrencies.
The startup earns revenue from the paid subscription Robinhood Gold, allowing investors to trade with extra leverage, as well as from selling their clients' orders to financial intermediaries willing to pay for them.
Presumably, following this event, TON spiked up to $7.7 and thereby surpassed its previous all-time-high of $7.2. Currently, TON is holding at $7.4 and ranks 9th in the CoinMarketCap rating with a capitalization of $18 billion.
This partnership between TON and Robinhood opens up broad prospects for attracting European investors. The ability to trade TON in some European jurisdictions improves the visibility and accessibility of users in this part of the world, opening up the doors for more investors.
Considering that Robinhood has an impressive customer base and reputation in the market, this collaboration will undoubtedly benefit the TON ecosystem.
